padaukPadauk
The sapwood is of an oatmeal colour, the heartwood varies from striking blood red to dark brown with red streaks.

 

PangaPanga Panga Panga (Partridge Wood)
Sapwood whitish in colour, the heartwood is dark brown with fine close blackish veiling.

 

Pau Marfim
The wood is whitish-yellow to lemon coloured with little distinction between sapwood and heartwood.

 

PinePine
The pale coloured sapwood is clearly distinct from the pinkish-brown heartwood.

 

American PoplarPoplar - American
The sapwood is creamy-white in colour and the heartwood is grayish-white to light brown.

 

Purple HeartPurple Heart
The sapwood is creamy white and sharply demarcated from the heartwood which, while greyish-purple when freshly cut, later becomes a violet purple to deep purple through an oxidation process.

 

Red Ivory Red Ivory
The heartwood is an unusual bright pink-red shade when freshly cut becoming deep red on exposure.

 

Saligna Saligna
The sapwood is a pale yellow in colour, fairly well-defined from the light rose-brown heartwood.

 

Sapele
The sapwood is pale yellow or whitish, the heartwood pinkish when cut, darkening to reddish-brown.



Sapele Sapgum
The sapwood is creamy-white and the heartwood varies from pinkish-brown to reddish-brown.
