The timber is pinkish or reddish brown turning brown with age.


 

OAK - White Oak - White
American white oak varies in colour, ranging from pale yellow brown to a pale reddish brown, often with a pinkish tint.

The timber is creamy white to pale yellow in colour with little or no distinction between sapwood and heartwood.

 

OREGON PINE <br>Douglas Fir) Oregon pine (Douglas Fir)
The sapwood is lighter in colour than the heartwood, which varies from yellow to a reddish brown colour.
