SAINT BERNARD

Origin and use: From the Swiss Alps comes this watch- and rescue-dog.
Height: dog at least 71 cm, bitch at least 66 cm
Weight: 55 to 60 kg
Temperament: calm, quiet, cheerful, loyal, friendly, reliable, good with children
Useful information: The Saint needs a lot of space and activity. The use of shampoo which can destroy the coat’s protective oils should be avoided. They have sensitive eyes, can develop skin problems and are at risk of hip dysplasia.
