GORDEN SETTER

Origin and use: Comes from Scotland were it was developed as a hard working hunting dog, strong but slow, by the Earl of Richmond and Gordon during the middle of the 19th century.
Height: dog 61 to 69 cm, bitch 58 to 66 cm
Weight: dog 25 to 34 kg, bitch 21 to 30 kg
Temperament: gentle, affectionate, loyal to family but reserved with strangers, strong personality
Useful information: If used for hunting, dry the dog well if it gets wet, and give a moderate amount of water to drink after the hunt. Six to ten days before the hunting season the sole pads should be submerged for five minutes per day in a solution recommended by your vet, to strengthen them.
