Origin and use: Nothing is certain about the origin of this small breed. However, its forebears were used to fight bulls as recently as 150 years ago.

Weight: 8 to 14 kg
Temperament: sensitive, calm, eager to learn, not a yapper
Useful information: It cannot tolerate high temperatures and is susceptible to sunstroke. It must have at least three daily outings. The eyes are prone to glaucoma and should be checked regularly.
