BEAGLE

Origin and use: An English hound, the smallest of them all, but “one hell of a lot of dog in a small package”. It arrived in England in 1066 from France, though it seems to have originated in Greece where small pack-dogs were found as far back as 400 BC.
Height: dog and bitch 33 to 41 cm
Weight: not specified
Temperament: friendly, lively, affectionate
Useful information: As a pack hound a Beagle requires constant canine companionship and lots of exercise. Take special care of their ears, which must be cleaned regularly. They need a good brushing to get rid of dust and dead hair once or twice a week.
